A planning and urban design study commissioned by the Queensland Government, Queensland Transport and the Brisbane City Council to develop alternative development strategies for the precinct known as Queensland Place, near the Roma Street rail and bus interchange. The study planned alternatives for the new underground transport system and its relationships with the new public realm and built form above. The study formed a basis for a new Brisbane City Council Development Control Plan for the area and proposed several new opportunities for the development of retail, commercial and residential which will enliven the area and will take advantage of the current and proposed infrastructure and parklands in the precinct.
