North Lakes Ambulance Station

The North Lakes Ambulance Station provides service and maintenance facilities for 16 ambulances, a baby capsule fitting centre, 24-hour ambulance officer facilites and a major administration wing and is the largest station of its kind in the region. It serves the outer northern area of Brisbane and is located in one of the most rapidly growing regional hubs.

The use of high-tech highly durable and environmentally friendly building materials defines the visual character of the building. Externally the warehouse component is dynamically patterned and subtly coloured tilt-up concrete. A bright orange geometric ribbon connects the entire complex together and creates a memorable graphic cue that invites people towards the entrance.
